I’m on a trip around Eastern Europe and I happen to run across Mexican places that I almost always try for food and drink. Most places are openly Tex-Mex or serve you a standard version of Mexican dishes. El Santo X surprised me with food that was Mexican and unusually good for a Mexican restaurant abroad and cheaper than most restaurants in Riga Old City. There are some adaptations to the local taste, but they didn’t come in the way to enjoy the food. I took some local friends with me and they liked it much. Definitely eating there again next time I’m in Riga.
The best Mexican restaurant in Riga, ever! Nothing stands close. And maybe even one of the best i have ever tried, and i have tried a lot of mexican restaurants. Very delicious Mexican food!Love it! The service was excellent, the ambient very cozy and nice… My compliments to the chef.
The best mexican Restaurant in Riga, real quality food and it actually tastes as if you were in Mexico, the chilaquiles were delicious and so were the cochinita tacos. It made me miss home.
I am a mexican living in Riga, during the last years I have been travelling through all Europe and this Restaurant has been so far the best. Try the Pibil tacos and the guacamole, you wont regret, cheers!
